Brake Flush
Why does my vehicle need a brake fluid flush?
Your braking system relies on clean, high-quality brake fluid to perform at its best. Over time, brake fluid absorbs moisture and contaminants, which can lower its boiling point and reduce stopping power, especially under heavy braking. Old fluid can also cause corrosion within the brake lines and components, leading to costly repairs. At Eurowerks Motorsports, we perform professional brake flushes that remove the old fluid and replace it with fresh, manufacturer-approved fluid to restore optimal braking performance and safety. Regular brake flushes not only protect your braking system but also give you the confidence that your vehicle will respond when you need it most.
What is a brake flush?
During a brake flush, our technicians use a pressure bleeder to remove the old, contaminated brake fluid from the system and replace it with fresh, clean fluid. We use specialized equipment to ensure all lines, calipers, and the master cylinder are completely purged of moisture and debris. This process restores proper hydraulic pressure, protects internal components from corrosion, and keeps your brakes performing at their best. Brake fluid is a highly corrosive fluid and our technicians know this the most, which is why we take every precaution possible to ensure your luxury European stays protected from any accidental spills or splashes when performing the brake fluid process, something that most would overlook.
How to tell if you need a brake flush.
-
Open your engine bay and locate the brake fluid reservoir, often times can be hidden under plastic coverings or trim pieces. The cap will have an indication that it is the brake fluid.
-
Open the lid and peek into the tank with a small flashlight or your phones flashlight. Fresh/clean brake fluid will almost always be clean. If the fluid is a murky or darker brown, that is a good indication you're due for a brake fluid flush.
But not all fluids are the same, the brake fluid may be due to be flushed even while looking clean and transparent, we use specialized equipment that detects the percentage of water or contaminants present and determines if its within the specified range.
